SPRING NFL FLAG FOOTBALL

Program Overview

Get ready for an exciting spring season with NFL Flag Football and Spring Cheer! Both programs offer children the opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence, develop teamwork, and make lasting friendships in a fun and supportive environment.

🏈 Spring Flag Football
Flag football takes place on Saturday afternoons from April through June. Athletes will develop their football skills, learn the fundamentals of the game, and enjoy friendly competition while building teamwork and sportsmanship.

📣 Spring Cheer
Spring Cheer takes place one evening per week beginning in April. Cheerleaders will learn cheerleading fundamentals, practice routines, build confidence, and encourage their fellow athletes throughout the season.

Whether your child is new to the sport or ready to build on their existing skills, St. Bart’s Buffalos welcomes them to join the fun and be part of the team!

Both programs are open to children in grades K–8. Children who turn 5 before July 1 are eligible to participate.

  • Kindergarten – 2nd Grade
  • 3rd – 4th Grade
  • 5th – 6th Grade
  • 7th – 8th Grade

Player Development Philosophy

Our flag football program is built around teaching the game the right way—without contact. We prioritize:

  • Learning proper football fundamentals (throwing, catching, route running, defense)
  • Equal participation for all players
  • Encouraging teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship
  • Building confidence and a love for the game

Games and practices are structured to maximize player involvement and development rather than focusing solely on competition.

Coaching & Volunteers

Teams are led by trained volunteer coaches who are committed to creating a positive and supportive experience. All coaches are required to:

  • Complete background checks
  • Follow NFL Flag coaching standards and rules
  • Adhere to league codes of conduct

Parents and guardians are encouraged to volunteer as coaches or team helpers to support the program and our athletes.
